*Dangerous sting* A freshwater jellyfish (craspedacusta sowerbii) usually found in the Amazon that was discovered in Stanigal Water clay pit in land-locked Leicestershire back in 2006. Reports at the time believed the jellyfish was imported to Britain on plants brought to Kew Gardens from Brazil in the 1830s. There have been other sightings in the UK. |
